Appletons Traditional English Wool

Used in Beth Russell needlepoint kits, and is interchangeable with the tapestry wool in Elizabeth Bradley kits. Appletons wool has a soft, matte finish and the colours are wonderful. Use the crewel wool for crewel embroidery, or use multiple strands in the needle for stitching on canvas. We carry the full line of 421 colours in crewel on skeins and hanks in the most popular background colours with all colours available to order.

The colour shown has been faithfully reproduced, but it will appear slightly different to the actual thread colour on screen. This is because every computer monitor can be set to different levels of colour, brightness and contrast.

If exact colour matching is a priority you will need a thread wrapped shade card. We carry a shade card for every range, which can be viewed from the shade card section.
