Hand Tapestry Frame 30" x 12" (76x30cm)

This frame has a 36" (76cm) working width and a 9" (22cm working depth.

Instruction for use.
The frame consists of two horizontal rollers with webbing attached, onto which the needlework fabric is sewn. These rollers slot into two vertical bars that are shorter than the horizontal rollers and are held in place by bolts, washers, and wing nuts.

Gently roll and twist the top horizontal roller down on to the vertical bars with the flap of the webbing facing down. Then gently roll and twist the bottom horizontal roller on to the vertical bars with the flap of the webbing facing up. Secure together by pushing the bolts through the front of the frame at each corner, place a washer over each bolt on the back of the frame, screw the wing nut on to the bolt and loosely tighten up to the washer.

Before you attach your needlework fabric to the frame, find the centre by folding the fabric into quarters and stitch long loose tacking stitches up and across. The middle of your needlework fabric is where the tacking stitches cross.

Find the centre of the webbing and match it with the centre point along the top of the needlework fabric, then hem stitch in place. Do the same with the bottom of the fabric. Roll both horizontal rollers away from you until the needlework fabric is taut and the centre tacking stitches are in the middle. Tighten the wing nuts.

Always start stitching from the centre of the needlework fabric. When you need more of your needlework fabric, just loosen the wing nuts, roll the rollers around until you have the required amount of fabric and tighten up the wing nuts making sure your fabric is taut.
