Madeira Tanne

Madeira Tanne is a 100% Mercerised pure cotton machine embroidery thread and quilting thread.

Tanne has long been one of our favourite threads and we were very sad to be told by Madeira Germany that the thread was being discontinued. Tanne was discontinued about 18 months ago. The colours you can see online are currently available, but our stock situation changes daily so we cannot guarantee availability.

Please order the thread as you would normally. When we receive the order we will process it against available stock and send what we can. If we are unable to supply your order complete, we will refund the overpaid amount immediately.

Madeira Tanne No.50 Is ideal for more detailed embroidery and is used extensively as a quilters piecing thread and as a fine thread for lace making.

Madeira Tanne No.30 Is heavier than the No.50 and is perfect for heavier embroidered patterns, for reducing the number of stitches in an embroidered design, for scalloping work and is a top quality quilting thread for machine and hand use.
