These threads are ideal for embroidery, festoon work, ornamental seams, and many other decorative applications on high speed sewing machines.

Metallic 40 is the standard weight and worldwide, Madeira’s most widely used metallic machine embroidery thread. 51 colours wound onto 200m reels to offer the best selection of metallics available. The unmatched colour range, is simply fantastic, be sure to buy the colour card!

Madeira Metallic 40 can also be used as a blending filament (in conjunction with another thread such as a stranded cotton) or on it’s own to highlight areas of your hand stitching.

The Spool Value Equation

A typical embroidery design contains 6,000 stitches in 6 colours. This means that a 200m spool with it's 40,000 stitches will produce 40 designs on average. That's plenty of thread for most home users. In fact with the spool size, you can afford to buy thread more often and experiment with new colours and textures.
