Madeira Jewel / Madeira Spectra

Madeira Jewel, also known as Madeira Spectra has been carefully designed to sparkle and shimmer in a holographic manner. Jewel is manufactured with a fine foil so that the embroidered look, by hand or machine, adds a rainbow glint to your embroidery. Jewel can be used on the embroidery machine and also as a blending filament. Try running Jewel through a large eyed needle with another thread. Madeira Jewel

Madeira Metallic 20 FS981

Madeira Metallic 20 is a beautiful coloured metallic thread twisted with black. It is the most delightful metallic thread you could ever wish to meet! FS981 is a very easy metallic to machine with and it behaves so well. It does not twist, fluff or bounce. Manufactured by twisting a coloured metallic thread with a black core to give 28 unique colours, this is the thread you use if you want to distress fabrics with a soldering iron as the high metallic content means it doesn't shrivel or burn. Fantastic, definitely one to try, but use a Topstitch Needle for the best results.Madeira Metallic 20 FS981

Metallic FS No.15

Madeira Metallic FS No.15 is a slight oddity in the range. It has a very high tensile strength, made from 3 ply thread which is decorative but inherently strong enough to sew with. FS No.15 will sew - coats, jeans and sports shoes. Unique to Madeira, this thread is superb for all types of surface decoration too and due to the after treatment on the thread will give trouble free sewing performance. Metallic FS No.15

Madeira Metallic 40

Metallic 40 thread is ideal for embroidery, festoon work, ornamental seams, and many other decorative applications on high speed sewing machines. Metallic 40 is the standard weight and Madeira’s most widely used metallic machine embroidery thread. Madeira metallic 40

Madeira Supertwist 30

Supertwist Metallic Threads, usually called ‘Effect’ threads, are twisted in such a way that the reflective properties of the foils are used to the full, adding texture and depth to a design. Unlike the smoothness of the FS range, Supertwist feels a little harsh as you run your fingers across it.

The newly expanded range now consists of 16 Opal Shades, 16 Multicolour Shades, 40 Crystal shades and 68 plain colours, a total of 140 stunning metallic colours The beautiful reflection of the thread is the result of many different colours united onto a single thread. When embroidered, the thread will add dimension and a variety of different characteristics to your work.
