Opus Craft Stand

By working with the Opus Craft Stand you help to avoid distortion of fabrics and the uneven tension of threads. Hand tapestry frames can be awkward to hold, or become heavy over a period of time and sitting in your favourite chair is not always possible for prolonged periods.

The standard Floor frame, originally designed to hold larger pieces of work, cannot adjust to the different positions required when sitting back in an easy chair, and is quite cumbersome. The introduction of Mono stands such as the Opus Craft Stand, means you can now work in a saggy baggy old sofa with your work at a comfortable level reducing back, neck, wrist and eye fatigue, allowing you to embroider well into the early hours.

It is very difficult to find an original style floor frame, with the ability to securely hold frames ranging from the small 4” hoop to the large 24” tapestry frame. Most of the quality mono stands have this versatility, and because they clamp onto hand held frames, allow many projects to be on the go at any one time.

With Opus in particular, it can be used as a table frame. The frame can be reduced right down in size and still retain all the important functions such as the ability to rotate the work frame to finish off on the reverse. When positioned on the table, all the angles can still be adjusted, so that the embroiderer does not have to lean forward over a table, thereby avoiding the dreaded back and neck ache.

Opus folds down, to a small compatible unit, which is easily transportable, or stored. Most floor frames do not have this facility and become part of the furniture!!!
