As a mail order company, stocking an enormous range of eye catching threads, our most commonly asked question is, ‘How can I see what colours are in the range?’

The colours are on line and in the catalogue. They have been faithfully reproduced from a thread wrapped shade card, but will appear slightly different to the actual thread colour on screen and on paper. This is because every computer monitor can be set to different levels of colour, brightness and contrast, and all printing machines are different. If exact colour matching is not a priority and you need ‘various shades of green’ for instance this method will be fine for you. If however you require more exacting colour matching you will need a thread wrapped shade card.

Borrow-a-card service

Shade cards are expensive to produce, and we pass on the cost that we are charged.

If you would like to borrow a shade card, we can lend one out to you. You will be required to pay for the shade card in full before despatch, but if you return it within 2 months stating you invoice number, in as good as a condition as we sent it to you, we will credit your Barnyarns account in full (Less any postage charged), The money available can then be deduced off any future purchase from the Company. Unfortunately, we cannot issue a monetary refund by cash or credit card against a loaned shade card. If a shade card is returned in poor condition, a handling charge of 15% will be charged.
