A fine, two ply, loosely twisted Crewel Wool. Made in England for over 150 years and made famous by the great textile designer William Morris.

Appleton wool has a soft, matte finish and the colours are wonderful. Use the crewel wool for crewel embroidery, or use multiple strands in the needle for stitching on canvas. We carry the full line of 421 colours in crewel on skeins of 25m

The colours shown have been faithfully reproduced from a thread wrapped shade card, but it will appear slightly different to the actual thread colour on screen. This is because every computer monitor can be set to different levels of colour, brightness and contrast. If exact colour matching is a priority you will need a thread wrapped shade Card.
