Brexit VAT

Since the UK left the EU there have been some changes to the way your orders are processed and to the way your parcels are received. There have been, and there still are, delays on parcels leaving the UK.

Before Brexit, the cost of the items ordered included UK tax at 20% which was added onto the order.  Now, the UK tax of 20% is not charged, the goods are zero rated, so your items are 20% cheaper. (UK tax is currently at 20%)

The tax and/or duty you would have paid on your order, now may be payable to your local tax office. If a payment is due your local courier or tax office may contact you for payment of tax and duty before the goods can be delivered.

The customs authorities in your country determine if charges are due on imported goods and calculate the amount due based on the value of your order.

Barnyarns is unable to assist with the payment of tax.  The payment will need to be made or the goods will be returned to us.

If the goods are returned because tax has not been paid, then we will refund your order when it is received back to our offices.  The refund will be for the goods, less the cost of sending the goods to you and also the cost of returning the goods to us.

If you do not wish to pay the customs charge, you may cancel the order before despatch.  If you order is cancelled before despatch you will receive a full refund.  Orders cannot be cancelled if the order has been shipped from our warehouse.
