Refund & Returns Policy
Thank you for shopping with Barnyarns – we value your custom and aim to deliver only the highest quality products and service.
While we hope you're completely satisfied with your order, we understand that occasionally you may need to return an item. Please read the following policy carefully, as it outlines your rights and our terms for returns and refunds. This policy complies with current UK law, including the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Right to Cancel (UK Online Orders)
You have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods. You do not need to provide a reason, and a full refund will be issued provided the goods meet our return conditions (see below).
Please note: This right does not apply to:
- Fabric that has been cut to order from the roll
- Thread that has been unwound or had its protective packaging removed
- Personalised or custom-made items
- Sealed goods (e.g. needles, adhesives, scissors) that have been unsealed for hygiene or safety reasons
Return Window & Conditions
If you change your mind after 14 days, we may, at our discretion, accept a return for exchange or store credit only within 30 days of delivery. We will not accept any returns after 30 days.
To be eligible for a return, all items must:
- Be unused, unopened, and in fully resalable condition
- Be returned in original, undamaged packaging
- Not show signs of tampering or use (e.g. unwound thread, cut fabric, opened wrappers)
- Include your name, order number, return reason, and contact number
We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.
Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items
If your item arrives damaged, faulty, or is incorrectly dispatched, you must notify us within 7 calendar days of receipt.
We will offer a replacement, refund, or suitable resolution, and cover the cost of return postage for faulty or incorrect items.

- Postage Method
We strongly recommend using a tracked or signed-for service. We cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.
Refunds
- Refunds will be made to the original payment method used.
- For orders using multiple payment methods (e.g., PayPal and Loyalty Points), refunds will be split proportionally.
- Once your return is approved and received in acceptable condition, we will process the refund within 5 working days.
Delivery Costs
- For unwanted or incorrectly ordered items, return postage is your responsibility. The original delivery charge will not be refunded.
- For faulty or incorrect items, we will cover all return and original delivery costs.
Non-Returnable Items (Strictly No Refund or Exchange)
We do not accept returns for:
- Fabric cut from the roll
- Thread that has been unwound or removed from its plastic wrapping
- Opened or unsealed hygiene-sensitive items (e.g. needles, glues, scissors)
- Any item that is used, marked, or not in resalable condition
Final Notes
- All returns are inspected before a refund is issued.
- We reserve the right to reject any return that does not comply with this policy.
- This policy does not affect your statutory rights regarding faulty goods.
