Aurifil 12 50m Small Reel

Aurifil 12wt thread is a high quality 100% cotton thread wound on a red spool so it can easily be identified in your stash. If you don't need to much, then these wonderful 50m reels are just for you.

It is the heaviest weight of thread that Aurifil produce and just about the heaviest thread you can run through the machine. It is perfect for hand applique, hand embroidery, hand quilting, cross stitch, embellishment, handmade lace, machine applique, blanket stitch, machine embroidery (especially for designs that use a longer stitch length), machine art quilting, Sashiko, redwork, lower looper serging, and longarm quilting.

The recommended machine needle for this thick thread is a size 90/14 or 100/16 Topstitch Needle or Size 4.5 Longarm Needle.
