Metallic 40 1000m

Metallic 40 is the standard weight and Madeira’s original and most widely used metallic machine embroidery thread. A few selected colours have been wound on to 1000m reels, the same high quality as the 200m reels.  

You must use a Topstitch needle size 90/14 when embroidering with metallic threads with your tension down to '1'.

Q. What is the difference between this Metallic 40 1000m and the other more expensive Metallic FS 40 1000m?

Both are superb machine threads.  The FS 40 is manufactured with a higher pure silver content, so costs that little bit more.
